Using Newsbin with Easynews NNTP Access

Get Started

Easynews offers both Web-based access and traditional NNTP. This guide covers how to configure Newsbin for NNTP access.

Step 1: Launch Newsbin

Start Newsbin and begin the configuration wizard.

Step 2: Add Easynews Server Info

Go to Options > Servers and click the "New Server" button.

Use these settings:

• Server Name: Easynews

• Address: news.easynews.com

• SSL Port: 563

• Connections: Up to 60

Step 3: Input Login Credentials

Use your Easynews username and password.

Step 4: Define Storage Path

Go to Options > Settings > Setup and choose a folder to hold accessed articles.

Step 5: Verify Settings

Test the server connection and adjust performance settings as needed. Bandwidth limits can be set under Options > Settings > Network.
