Add an NNTP Server in NZBGet for Secure Usenet Access

Easynews subscribers who use NZBGet can follow this guide to configure server access and take advantage of secure Usenet service.

Setup Process

  1. Launch NZBGet and head to Settings > NEWS-SERVERS.

  2. Click Add and enter these fields:

    • Name: Usenet Provider

    • Host: news.example.com

    • Port: 563 (SSL) or 119 (non-SSL)

    • Encryption: Yes (for SSL)

    • Username: [Usenet login]

    • Password: [Usenet password]

    • Connections: Up to 60

  3. Save changes.

Notes

  • SSL connections on port 563 help maintain privacy.

  • Easynews provides access to all newsgroups with full article retention.

  • Use your control panel to verify active connections and plan limits.
