Easynews 3.0 combines the speed and security of traditional Usenet with an easy-to-use web interface that requires no software or complicated setup to get started. 

 

In this guide, we will show you how to search and download from Usenet with the Easynews 3.0 web interface. One of the best features of Easynews 3.0 is that it can be used on any device that’s supported by a web browser.

 

Article Search

 

After you have successfully signed into your Easynews account, you will immediately be able to start searching the Usenet through the Article Search page.

Simply enter a keyword search term into the search bar and press Enter on your keyboard or keypad. 

 

 

Search Result Filters

The default file format on the search results page is Video, but you can also select the following media formats: Audio, Image, All or More... (Archive, Parity, Document, Disk Image, Executable, Misc). To make your search more specific, you can apply different filter options such as File Type, Posted Date, and Duration.

If you are on a mobile device, we recommend using the MP4 file type filter so you can play videos directly through your web browser without needing to download the files. 
 

 

Slideshow Mode

 

A new feature that has been introduced to Easynews 3.0 is the Slideshow mode. This view allows you to scroll through each search result by clicking on the left or right arrows.

When in the Slideshow viewing mode, you can download the selected file by clicking on the file name or download icon that is located in the bottom left corner.

You can even set a timer that will automatically cycle through the Easynews search results, which is ideal for browsing image files. The default time is 3 seconds and you just need to hit the Play button to begin the show. 

Downloading Files

 

You can access content through Easynews by downloading or playing. As mentioned earlier, on mobile devices, we recommend using the play functionality since not all mobile devices support downloads. However, most users are looking to download their favorite content on-demand.

There are two ways you can download from Easynews - through the Download button and through the Zip Manager.

Download - Button

If you are looking to download a single file, you can simply click on the download button that is located on the lower left-hand side beneath the file. This will immediately start your download, and you can access the completed file in your default download folder.

Download - Zip Manager

 

If you want to download multiple files, we recommend using the Zip Manager functionality. To begin, hover over the thumbnail and a checkbox will appear in the upper left-hand side.

 

Repeat this process and select multiple files within the search result page you are on. Once you have selected all the files you wish to download, click the Zip button that is located above the search results and below the Easynews search bar.
 

 

After you click the Zip button, you can select the queue that you want to add the selected files to and name the download bucket. 

 

 

Once you have added the files to your Zip Queue, you can select Download Now and all the files you added will begin to download. 

 

Once the download is complete, find the zipped files in your default download folder and enjoy.
